To expand a little further on commercial real estate this week, we wanted to take a look at industrial land sales in Horry County. Property that falls under this category is meant to be developed for industrial purposes. Since 2009, industrial land in the Myrtle Beach area and Horry County experienced a steady decline in average price per acre until mid-2011, when it began to rise again. However, what we’re seeing these days is average prices per acre that are much lower than they were just over five years ago.
